PhD student Shuang Yang gave a presentation at the 2019 Chinese Biomaterials Congress

During the "2019 Chinese Biomaterials Congress", PhD student Shuang Yang gave a presentation entitled "Oriented collagen fiber membranes formed through counter-rotating extrusion and their application in tendon regeneration", highlighting the application of the counter-rotating extrusion (CRE) technique in tendon repair. The biomimetic oriented collagen scaffolds prepared by CRE can promote the differentiation of BMSCs toward tendon lineage both in vitro and in vivo, improving the quality of tendon repair and providing a new and effective approach for preparing biomimetic tendon tissue engineering scaffolds. Meanwhile, the CRE technique enables low-cost, industrialized production of tissue-inductive functional scaffolds with broad application prospects.
