Professor Yanfeng Luo and Dr. Shilong Mao attended an exchange symposium of the Party Working Committee and Management Committee of Mianyang Economic Development Zone, discussing biomaterial innovation and result transformation

Recently, Professor Yanfeng Luo and Dr. Shilong Mao attended an exchange symposium of the Party Working Committee and Management Committee of Mianyang Economic Development Zone, and held in-depth exchanges with relevant departments of the zone and participating representatives on scientific and technological innovation, result transformation, industry-academia-research collaboration, and the development of the biomedical materials industry.

At the symposium, Professor Yanfeng Luo gave a presentation on the theme of "Biodegradable Shape Memory Polyurethane and High-Value Applications", systematically introducing the team's research work and progress on biodegradable polyurethane materials, with emphasis on the research foundation and development potential in material design, performance regulation, and biomedical applications.

During the exchange, participants had full discussions on key technology development of biomedical materials, industrialization of research results, alignment with clinical needs, and industry-academia-research cooperation mechanisms. Drawing on the team's research work, Professor Yanfeng Luo and Dr. Shilong Mao exchanged views on how to further leverage the scientific research platform and talent advantages of universities, strengthen collaboration between the research and industrial ends, and promote the transformation of innovative results into practical applications.

This symposium further strengthened communication and exchange between the research team and Mianyang Economic Development Zone, and provided a good opportunity for subsequent cooperation on biomedical materials, new polymer materials, and related result transformation. In the future, the team will continue to build on its disciplinary characteristics and research strengths, address industrial development and practical application needs, strengthen collaborative innovation with local governments, medical institutions, and enterprises, actively explore new models of scientific and technological result transformation and industrial cooperation, and promote higher-level application transformation of research results in the biomedical materials field.
